Living in Florida, I love a winter escape to ski in the Colorado mountains. However, the cost of ski trips get more expensive every year. To help, I've put together the Winter Ski Gear Shopping Guide for men and women to find affordable yet quality apparel and ski gear to make you look like a professional on the slopes even if you may not be the best skier [like me].

Ski Gear Shopping Guide

SKI GEAR SHOPPING GUIDE FOR WOMEN

This guide includes everything you will need to look good on the ski slopes, plus a couple bonus Après ski selections. You'll find reasonably priced items when it comes to winter ski apparel but still stylish, comfortable and good quality.

You will see my picks for colors and prints, but when you click on the image for a style you like, you will find many more choices for color and print.

Women's Affordable Ski Jacket & Pant Combinations

Recommend checking size chart on all winter apparel. I prefer having the outer shells be a bit larger, because I wear multiple layers on a cold day skiing.

Women's Winter Jackets

The better deals sometimes include an 'inner layer' to the jacket. I use the outer shell as a rain jacket in Florida most of the year and only use the combination on the ski slopes or visiting family in the Midwest.

Recommend a size with some room to move and wear layers underneath. Be sure to check size chart.

Women's Thermal Underwear, Power Flex Yoga Pants, & Warm Ski Socks

Affordable under garments for those crisp cold winter days on the ski slopes. I always wear tights under my ski pants for an extra layer, these yoga pants are a great option. It is important to have thick quality socks to keep your toes warm in your ski boots. Again, more colors/options available for all items listed.

Found these fabulous gloves that allow you to use your phone/camera without taking them off, must have for your next ski trip! And don't forget to keep your ears covered to not catch a cold with stylish winter hats.

SKI SAFETY - Ski Helmets & Ski Googles

It is highly recommended that you wear head protection on the ski slopes. Accidents are difficult to predict and can be life-threatening. I personally don't wear a ski helmet, but I usually stay on green slopes only. I prefer ski goggles to sunglasses due to the wind that makes my eyes water while I'm skiing, also offers better protection from the sun for your face.
