I didn't always like to try any new foods, but thankfully I married the right man! My husband and his Mom love to cook and their stacks of cook books are a sight to see. Sadly, my mother-in-law lost her battle to cancer in 2020, but I have found a new passion to explore the kitchen and found recipes that she had cut from magazines, her cookbooks and her own recipes that I will be sharing with all of you.
When I travel, I have to be careful what I eat, because I have a short bowel and many things can go right through me. I'll also take a look at recipes for others with digestive issues. I am slightly obsessed with making new things out of leftovers in the fridge and all about making less food go farther to save money.
Fitness has always been a huge part of my life. In high school I was the only four sport athlete, which only lasted one year, because the cross country coach wanted me to give it a try. I enjoyed tennis, basketball, and went to college on a scholarship to run track. However, I hate gyms!

Anyone else HATE working out in a gym? Weather too nice outside to workout indoors?
I was sick of gyms before I left college and haven't stepped foot in one since college. I hate men staring at me, I detest group classes! I prefer the sound of my feet on a trail, a peaceful run and strength training from my living room.
Check out my home gym workouts using little to no equipment and eventually I'll be putting together fitness challenges to keep you on track to reach your fitness goals. I'll also post articles to keep fit while traveling and share my favorite hiking trails from my travels in the U.S. and abroad.
